Onion Enterprises sells and rents vapor extraction technologies to cost effectively abate your vapor problems. OE's typical vapor extraction system consist of a Blower, moisture separator, high tank shut-off, vacuum gage, inlet filter, silencer, skid or trailer mounted and control system. System can be specialty coated for aggressive or corrosive gasses. To help the OE team serve you better we have attached our simple vapor questionnaire that can either be faxed or mailed in.

Principal of Operation
The Onion Equipments Claw is a vacuum or pressure pump operating on the rotary claw principle. The rotary claw principle is based on dry running, non contacting rotors. As the rotors rotate, a void is created on the inlet side of the pumping chamber pulling air inward. The trapped air is then pushed to the discharge side of the pumping chamber where it is first internally compressed then discharged. The standard Claw cannot be used to produce vacuum and pressure simultaneously. A Claw pump configured for vacuum operation will have the inlet port connected to the vacuum line, and the discharge port will be open to atmospheric pressure (through a silencer). A Claw pump configured for pressure operation will have the inlet port connected to the pressure line, and the inlet port will be open to atmospheric pressure (through a silencer and filter). Claw vacuum pumps have an ultimate pressure between 15 and 173 torr, depending on the model, and Claw pressure pumps have an ultimate pressure of 29.4 psig.

A small, fixed, gauged clearance is maintained between all of the moving parts in the pumping chambers. This means that there is no friction (no wear) in the pumping chamber and therefore no lubricant required in the pumping chamber. The wearing parts of the Claw are well isolated from the heat and contaminates usually found in pumping chamber. The wearing parts of the Claw primarily consist of bearings and gears which are thermally separated from the pumping chamber by a double endplate design with an atmospheric air space

OE OX - Back to Product Line

Thermal Oxidation
VOC/HAP Control

Thermal Oxidation is a system that uses the heat of the oxidation process to burn pollutants present in your waste exhaust. Pollutants such as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP's) and odors are oxidized to carbon dioxide and water. Our OE OX unit operates unit operates using several types of burners depending on the process stream. High VOC Destruction levels greater than 99.99 can beachieved with the OE inward fire burner. The OE OX is compact and can be installed at the emission source. When haloginated compounds are treated a scrubber and neutralization system is added.

High VOC Destruction Efficiency

The OE OX system is the "Smart" Technology for eliminating VOC's. Regulated by a PLC, the OE OX allows you to directly input and log data. Capacity ranges from 25 to 25,000 cubic feet per minute and VOC loading range goes up to 20,000 ppmv. The OE OX can Achieve greater that 99% destruction of VOC's with low NOx emissions.

Features

  • Ultimate in VOC destruction
  • Treat a wide range of contaminated Vapor Streams
  • Ideal for treating halogenated chemicals
  • Extremely low NOx
  • High VOC loading to 20,000 ppmv

A Water Treatment System for Difficult Contamination Removals - Back to Product Line

A patented system that uses advanced oxidation processes for the removal of organic contaminants from the water. CAV-OX combines hydrodynamic cavitation (which causes the water to form hydroxyl free radicals), ultraviolet light radiation, and when needed chemical catalytic injection to treat the contaminated water.

The benefits of this system are:

  • Low capital outlay
  • Low O/M cost
  • No air emission controls
  • Compact modular design
  • EPA SITES Tested
  • Proven History
  • Low cost Pilot Studies
  • Resistant to light fouling

The system has already been tested and proven on many of the tougher chemicals like MTBE, TCE, PCE, TCA, BENZENE, PHENOLS.
Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps Dual Phase Extraction

OE offer Liquid Ring Pumps in both water and oil sealed. Both pumps offer vacuum up to 29" Hg. The flow rate can be sized from as small as 10 SCFM to greater than 2500 ACFM. These pumps are reliable and are perfect for vapor extraction, dual phase remediation, and bioslurping.

Oil Sealed Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Package, equipped with the following items:

  • Liquid Ring
  • Vacuum Pump & Motor
  • Vacuum Gauge, Temperature Gauges
  • Vertical Carbon Steel Knockout Tank
  • Common Base
  • Coupling Set and Guard
  • Exhaust Filter
  • Liquid Transfer Pump
  • Valve Recirculating Fluid Line
  • Electrical Cooling Panel
  • Operation and Maintenance Manuals
  • Air Cooled Heat Exchanger

OE Therm/Cat - Back to Product Line

Thermal Oxidation and Soil Extraction
VOC/HAP Control

Thermal/Catalytic Oxidation is a system use the heat of the oxidation process to burn vacuum-extracted hydrocarbon vapor from the contaminated soil or from air stripper off gases and destroy them by using a thermal or catalytic oxidation process.st. Pollutants such as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP's) and odors are oxidized to carbon dioxide and water. Our OE Therm/Cat unit operates using several types of burners depending on the process stream. High VOC Destruction levels, greater than 99.99, can beachieved with the OE burner. The OE Therm/Cat is compact and can easily be installed at contaminated soil site. When haloginated compounds are treated a scrubber and neutralization system is added.
