The associates of CAROLINA CRIME SCENE RECOVERY are licensed, bonded, insured, and most of all certified by the Institute of Inspections, Cleaning, and Restorations (IICRC) in Bio Hazard Cleaning and Odor Control. By obtaining these certifications, CAROLINA CRIME SCENE RECOVERY has demonstrated that we perform our tasks' with a certain standard.
By utilizing CAROLINA CRIME SCENE RECOVERY, INC., employers can avoid legal liabilities associated with of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Rule, otherwise known as Federal Regulation 29CFR1910.1030. This states no employee can be placed in a position to be exposed to blood or body fluids with first:
A) Receiving bloodborne pathogens training
B) Having access to a written bloodborne pathogens exposure plan
C) Having been provided appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. gloves, respirator, eye protection, protective suits, etc.
D) Having been offered the Hepatitis B vaccine and medical follow-up
E) Provided with a method to package, remove, and legally dispose of infectious waste Only after these five criteria are met can an employee be required by an employer to clean a bio hazardous scene.
Cost for our services are usually covered under either the homeowners or renters insurance policy. We will obtain essential information while at the scene, and work as a liaison between the family and the insurance provider.
